James Hardin

James Elwood Hardin, age 85, passed away on July 23, 2011. He was retired from the Birmingham News after 42 years of service. He was a member of East Lake Methodist Church and a member of the Masons. Mr. Hardin was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Dorminy and brother, William Hardin. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Whitaker; nieces Nan Turley, Claudia Pike; nephews, Wes Whitaker, Ian Hardin and Patrick Hardin and their families. Graveside services for Mr. Hardin will be on Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30AM at Forest Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to South Roebuck Baptist Church.
