Jack Parris

Jack Garner Parris, age 79 of Clanton, AL passed away on February 17, 2013. He attended Walnut Creek United Methodist Church in Clanton. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member Masonic Lodge of Clanton. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force SAC. Jack was an electrician by trade, a former fire fighter and a certified fire fighter instructor. He was a former volunteer for St Vincents East who loved to sing, never met a stranger and was known as "Dude" to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Linda DeFreese Parris; sister, Carolyn Parris Smith of Gaffney, SC; several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
