Jack S. Harding, 88 years old, resident of Guntersville, Alabama, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2025, while surrounded by his family.

Jack was born on December 3, 1937, in Cahaba Heights. He is best known as Pawpaw, Dad, and Brother. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He carried the discipline, honor, and loyalty of a Marine with him throughout his life.

In 2009, Jack and Deane Harding moved to Guntersville, Alabama. Jack was an active member of Victory Baptist Church.Jack also enjoyed woodworking and gifting his works to Victory Baptist Church, family, and friends.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, George and Claudia Harding, his beautiful wife Deane Harding, and three sisters. He is survived by his three children, Patricia Byrd (Jerry Byrd), Barbara Buck (Frank Buck), Jack Harding Jr. (Brenda Harding), Brother Pat Harding, six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Those who knew him remember hissteadfast spirit, generous heart, unwavering love for his family, his quiet strength and the way he made others feel supported, valued, and deeply cared for.

His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the example he set, and the love he gave so freely. He will be profoundly missed by family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of life will be on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 4:00PM at Victory Baptist Church, located at 1644 Obrig Avenue, Guntersville, Alabama 35976. The viewing for family and friends followed by Military Grave Side Serviceswill be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral and Gardens, located at 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, Alabama 35235.
