Irene Snider

September 1, 1932 — December 8, 2021

Irene Province Snider, 89, passed away at her home in St. Clair County, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ellen Province (AL); Sisters Betty Gentry (AL), Mary Boggs (GA), Carrie Lavett (AL), Margaret Pinner (FL); Brothers Joe Province, Jr. (AL), Paul Province (AL). Nephew Claude Lavett (AL).

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Snider Fitzgerald, and son-in-law, James “Jimmy” Fitzgerald (AL). Special niece, Linda Samms Burks (Jack) (FL), Belinda Gentry (AL).  Great niece, Kristin Burks (FL); Great nephew, Shawn Burks (Carla) (FL).  Great-great nieces, Lelia Burks (FL), Sadie Burks (AL), and other relatives.

She attended, and was actively involved, at the Open Door Church for many years.  She was a long-time resident in the Minor Heights community.  She retired as a Physicians Exchange Operator after 30+ years.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Open Door Church, 5701 Birmingport Rd, Birmingham, AL, 35224.  Visitation is at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00 p.m.  Following the service, a procession to Jefferson Memorial in Trussville.  A special thank you to the Birmingham HOG Chapter 30, Riders Harley Davidson, Trussville, for serving as pallbearers, and riding with her to her final resting place.
