Idell Eades Pettry, passed away on November 1st 2025. She was born on January 9, 1932 in Birmingham, AL to her mother, Evelyn Cook Eades and her father, Zach Allman Eades. Idell graduated from South-Eastern College in Lakeland, Florida where she met her husband William Earnest Pettry. They remained happily married until his death in 2002. Idell also held advanced degrees from Birmingham-Southern College and University of Alabama at Birmingham. Idell’s Christian faith was of utmost importance to her. She faithfully served in education, the local church and foreign missions.

Idell was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her daughter, Esther Lynn Pettry. She is survived by her brother, Robert L Eades, her children, Rachel Idell Kendrick (David), Steven Earnest Pettry (Sharon) and John Alman Pettry (Sherry), nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Thursday, November 6th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Assemblies of God Missions, at www.agwm.org or 1445 Boonville Avenue, Springfield MO 65802.
