Howard Vinson

Howard G. Vinson, age 67 of Pinson, AL passed away on January 10, 2016. He was self-employed as a construction worker for several years before retiring. He was a huge Nascar and Alabama football fan. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Howard was preceded in death his parents, Ollie and Addie Vinson; son, Thomas Allen Vinson; step-son, Jeffery Lynn Carreker; brothers, Allen Vinson, Leonard Vinson and O.D. Vinson. He is survived by his loving and closest friend, Sherry Ward and her sons, Coy Carreker (Jeanne) and Danny Ward and their children; his daughter, Angela Burns (Cecil); grandchildren, Ryan and Tanner Burns; brother, Kenneth Vinson; sister, Elizabeth Startley (Walter) and Frances Whitfield (Harold); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The funeral service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13th. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow the chapel service at Wooten's Chapel Cemetery. Reverend Danny Wise will be officiating.
