Howard Tew

Howard Leroy Tew, age 86 of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 10, 2016. Howard was raised on a farm in Barber County, AL and at age 20 he moved to Birmingham where he began working in the steel industry. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist in Pell City. He retired from Goslin Manufacturing after 32 years of service as a machinist. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Wilkinson; a grandson, Brady Wilkinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Opal Tew; daughter, Diane Tew; step-daughter, Karen Lee; step-sons, Steven Wilkinson and Lyn Wilkinson; sisters, Betty and Carolyn; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held for Howard at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL.
