Howard Mitchell

Howard Kenneth Mitchell, Sr. age 91, of Birmingham, AL passed away on November 5, 2015. He retired from the U.S. Government Defense Supply Agency as a Defense Contract Administrator. He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi S. Mitchell, along with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He served in WWII with the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was an avid League Bowler, an active gardener, and was loved and respected by many. He is survived by his daughter, Jane M. Roy (John); Son, Kenneth Mitchell (Kanista Zuniga); and grandchildren, Jake and Megan Burchfield. Services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:00AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
