Horace Underwood

Horace G. Underwood, age 90, of Birmingham, AL passed away on December 9, 2016. Horace was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Eastside Baptist church for several years and a retired business owner. Horace is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kathleen Underwood; his sons, Ken Underwood (Lea) and Jeff Underwood (Kelly); daughter, Roxanne Underwood Clemons (Russell); granddaughters, Abby and Harper Underwood; niece, Pam Rasberry, and many other special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew Underwood, Johnny Underwood, Grant Underwood and identical twin, Norris Underwood; sister, Kathryn Fears. A funeral service for Horace will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior. Burial will follow the chapel service in Jefferson Memorial's adjoining Gardens. Pastor Mike Johnson and Pastor Mike Jackson are officiating.
