Hazel Stripling

Hazel C. Stripling 87, passed away on May 19, 2022. Hazel was born February 7, 1935 in Lamar County, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie & Mamie Cannon, 10 siblings, one grandson (Jake Jennings). She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, James L. Stripling. She is also survived by three children Judy Jennings (Terry), Dale Stripling (Becke), Dennis Stripling (Andrea). Surviving grandchildren include Heath Stripling (Tiffany), Josh Jennings (Stefanie), Heather Stripling, Spencer Stripling, Parker Stripling, Conner Stripling. Great grandchildren include Addie Staggs (Trevor), Colton Jennings, Jackson Jennings, Lexi Stripling, Jace Stripling.

Hazel was a member of Edwards Lake Church of Christ. She loved her family and her Church family. Hazel enjoyed traveling to the mountains and to the coast in their travel trailer. She was a retired Jefferson County Board of Education cafeteria worker. She loved cooking and taking care of her family, including making James’ favorite, lemon ice box pie.
