Glenda Lackey

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Glenda Lackey, age 89 of Birmingham, will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Cynthia’s home in Homewood for family and close friends. A private family graveside was held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Glenda Lackey passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at UAB St. Vincents Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband John "J.C." Lackey, her parents Allen F. Johnson and Mattie P. Johnson, and brothers Allen Johnson and John (Jack) Johnson.

She is survived by daughters Susan Pellegra (Gerard) and Cynthia Lackey (Michael Jolley), along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
