Gladys Porter Lagle

Gladys Porter Lagle, Age 94 of Chilton County, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.   

She was a dedicated Christian, who put God before all else.  A wonderful mother and wife, a true homemaker who really defined the word.  Her family was the most important thing in the world.  This love and dedication extended through three generations.  She was the center of the family and loved by all.  She was a faithful member of McEntyre Baptist Church.  She will be forever loved and missed.     

She is survived by her brother Roger Porter (Dotty), Sons; Joel Davis (Debra), Gary Davis (Susan), Stewart Davis (Darlene); 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.   

She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Elbert Porter; sisters Louise Morris, Lois Gladen; Brother, James Porter; husband Horace A. Davis; and husband Jake Lagle.   

Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Caleb, Zachary and Travis Davis, Dewayne Battles, Brandon Black, and Phillip Byram.  

Bro. Chriss Cornutt from Gum Springs Baptist Church will be officiating.
