In Loving Memory of Geraldine Rhodes Reese
August 12, 1939- November 29th, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Geraldine "Jerri" Rhodes Reese, who was called home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2024 at the age of 85.
Born on August 12, 1939 in Cullman County, Alabama, Jerri lived a life defined by her love for God, her family, and her love for Avon makeup. Jerri was a Life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Her love for Christ was evident in every aspect of her life, and she embodied grace, kindness, and compassion, especially throughout her career as a long time Avon consultant. Her prayers were a source of strength and comfort to her family.
Jerri was a devoted wife who shared 63 years of love and partnership with her husband, Albert. Together, they built a life grounded in faith, mutual respect, and devotion to one another. Their marriage was a testament to true love and commitment, one that touched the lives of everyone around them.
As a mother, she provided Kecia with a foundation of love, support, and faith. Her guidance shaped the person she is today, and her legacy of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love will live on forever.
Jerri is survived by her husband Albert, her daughter Kecia Clark(Mark), Tyler Clark, Kindrel Clark(husband to be, Justin), and numerous nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Dee Reese, mother and father, William and Eldred Rhodes, her brother, Robert Rhodes, and sister, Kathy Colvert.
A service celebrating her life and her faith will be held on December 3rd, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens. The family will welcome friends at 1:00, with a service to be held at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimers of Central Alabama in her memory.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with her Savior, and her spirit will continue to guide us in our lives. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and her incredible legacy.
