Georgia Nichols Sewell

Georgia Nichols Sewell was born May 8, 1943 to Paul Cameron and Etura Megginson Nichols in Thomasville, AL (Clarke County)

She graduated from Jackson High School and studied at the University of Montevallo before receiving an Executive Secretarial Degree from Alverson Draughon Business School in Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Sewell

She is survived by; her son Randall Lee Sewell (Lori); two grandsons, Ronin and Duncan Sewell; her sister: Judy Nichols Knight (John); and a number of cousins.

She worked at Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce; Allied Paper Company; Rust Engineering Company; First Baptist Church of Center Point; Sun Building Company, Internal Revenue Service and First Baptist Church of Springville. Her favorite jobs were wife, mother, and Gigi

She was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church in Trussville. She passed away on April 1, 2026. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville AL, Wednesday April 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with service following at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
