George V

George Pierce Freeman V, from Birmingham passed away February 12, 2013. Pierce was born February 11, 1983 in Johnson City, TN. He was a graduate of Pinson Valley High School in 2001. He was preceded by his mother Judi McCoy Freeman; grandfathers, Cas McCoy and George Freeman III; grandmother Helen Freeman; best friend, Justin Lance and Marine brother, Josh Kell. He is survived by his father, George Freeman IV (Sharon); brother, Cpl Dirk Freeman (USMC); grandmother, Mildred McCoy; fiance, Kimberly Odom, his brothers of VMA-231 and VMA-223, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins in TN and GA; his two beloved Great Danes , Parker and Baby. Pierce was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps (2001-2005) and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2003, VMA-223. Visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Friday, February 22, 2013 from 11:00 AM till 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, at 2:00 PM.
