George Edwards

George Erskine Edwards, 86, of Warrior, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2022.

George was born on August 9, 1935, in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Ernest and Hanna Mae Edwards and spent most of his life living in Trussville.  He had a successful career in the civil engineering industry working for Rust Engineering and also spent more then 20 years in the Air National Guard serving his country.

George loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, motorcycles, fast cars, boats, electronic gadgets, and Johnny Cash.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful friend.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Edwards and sons Greg Edwards (Molly) and Brian Edwards (Nicki).

Visitation for George will be held Saturday, June 4th from 1:00-2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama followed immediately by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.  Interment will take place in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
