Geneva Nix

Geneva "Jenny" Nix, age 83, of Pinson, AL passed away on May, 9, 2015. Geneva was a native of Gadsden, AL. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Pinson where she was involved in the Homebound Ministry. Geneva also retired from First Baptist Church of Pinson after serving there as a caregiver for their Daycare. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Roy D. Nix; sisters, Merlene and Lorene; one great grandson, Landon. She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Bryant (Joey), Lori Walker (Kenny) and Stacey Smith (Anthony); one son, David Nix; three sisters, Betty, Linda and Joan; three brothers, Milton, Ruble and Rodney; twelve grandchildren: Rachel (Zac), Micah, Kendra (Daniel), Kyle, Brandon, Emi, Gavin, Skye, Morgan, Joshua, Jordan and Jared; four great grandchildren, Cole, Cannon, Maddie and Max. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 12th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be on Wednesday, May 13th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Pastor David Awtrey is officiating.
