Garrett Mitchell

Garrett "Gary" Mitchell, 70 of Birmingham passed away on November 26, 2010. Gary had a total of 52 years in the pipe business and retired from McWane Pipe. He served 8 years as President of The American Foundry Society of The Midwest. Well respected and known as a prince among men, Gary touched everyone's hearts, was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 50years, Shelby J. Mitchell; one son, Paul Mitchell; one daughter, Paige Jester (Kyle); two brothers, Lewell "Butch' Mitchell (Patricia) and Richard A. Mitchell (Mireya); one granddaughter, Shelby Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1 beginning at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home followed by Memorial Service at 12:00PM.
