Frances Phillips

Our Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Frances Phillips, went home to our Lord at age 94 on December 24, 2025, in Vestavia, Alabama.

Frances worked alongside her Methodist Minister husband for fifty years, supporting his calling, and making a home for their three children. Later they retired to the Birmingham area where they had a lovely home with a large backyard garden and flowers everywhere.

Frances is survived by Laura Ellen Blackman - daughter (Pete), LuAnn Phillips - daughter-in-law, Ann Phillips - daughter-in-law, Ann Jennings - sister, 7 grandchildren - Tara, Jennifer, Shannon, Jason, Lauren, Matt, Ashley and 21 great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Rev. John Franklin Phillips, her father, William Madry, her mother, Cynthia Ellen Madry, her two sons, John Michael Phillips and Danny Ross Phillips and her grandson, Brandon Clint Blackman

Visitation: January 6, 2026, at 1:00 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

The service for Mrs. Frances Phillips will be held on January 6,2026, at 2:00 graveside at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.Burial: Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, AL.

Memorial donations can be made in Frances's name to The Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
