Frances Blankenship

Frances Lee Blankenship was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 12, 2022 at the age of 88. Frances spent her final days surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives in service to The Lord and all of his children.

Frances grew up in the Birmingham, AL area and attended Samford University. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Frances, and she always had an extraordinary ability to find happiness in any situation. She loved a quiet evening at home with a good book in hand. Frances also enjoyed spending time with her church family, and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Moody. Her delightfully sweet personality was contagious to everyone she met. Frances is survived by her husband, Paul Blankenship; her two sons Paul (Carolyn) Blankenship Jr. and Phillip (Sharon) Blankenship; her four grandchildren, Andrew (Shannon) Blankenship, Jessica (Jason) Childers, Kelly (Brent) Watson, and Laura Ryan; and many great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 AM on February 16, 2022 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens located at 1591 Gadsden Highway Birmingham, AL 35235.
