Evelyn J. Kimbrough Singleton, age 80, of Tarrant, Alabama, passed away on June 14, 2025. She was born in Pinson, Alabama, to the late Mr. Robert Earl Kimbrough and Mrs. Willie Mae Fields Kimbrough.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy K. Singleton and Tandy C. Singleton, and her brother, Charles Kimbrough.
Evelyn is survived by her brothers, Lynn (Cathy) Kimbrough, David (Mary Katherine) Kimbrough, and Tommy (Jeanette) Kimbrough, and her sister, Kay Kimbrough Alford. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchild, Laykin Welch, and great-grandchildren, Dominic and Noah Diggs.
Evelyn was a loving aunt and an important part of the lives of many nieces and nephews: Glenn (Wanda) Kimbrough, Mike (Monica) Kimbrough, Terra Kimbrough, Debra (Michael) Stauffer, Karan (John) Zielke, Jodi (Keith) Peace, Jana (Anthony) Plaia, and Patrick (Mary) Kimbrough. Her love extended to her great-nieces and great-nephews—Taylor, Davis, Dewy, Jefferson, Lauren Elizabeth, Ryan, Gavin, Josh, Zoey, Ava, Ella, Eva Marie, and Jack—each of whom brought her great joy.
Evelyn retired from BellSouth after more than 40 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and found joy in creating crafts for the children’s ministry. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. George Weeks officiating.
