Ethel Bollen

Ethel Bollen, age 87, passed away on May 26, 2023 in Alabaster, AL. She was born on December 25, 1935 to Alvie and Eula Raney. She married Robert Bollen on May 18, 1956 and had 1 child, Ronnie Bollen.

Ethel was best known for speaking her mind with a sharp and sarcastic wit. She enjoyed reading mysteries, watching westerns, and completing puzzles, the more challenging the better. She believed that laughter was the best way to deal with the challenges of life and tried to bring laughter to all around her. She had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is now walking with her savior in her true home.

Ethel is survived by son, Ronnie Bollen (Joan), grandson, Philip Bollen (Jessie), granddaughter, Sharon Zekoff (Brian), and 8 beloved great grandchildren.

Ethel is preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Bollen, grandson, Jason Bollen, parents, Alvie and Eula Raney, and her siblings.

The family will receive friends form 9:00 am to 10:00 with a graveside service to immediately follow on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, AL.
