Elizabeth Vann

Vann, Elizabeth Haney, age 89, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on December 25, 2008. She graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended Athens College. She was a member of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aver W. Vann. She is survived by three children Averil V. Smith (Eric) of Tallahassee, Florida, Robert G. Vann (Peggy) of Monroeville, and James E. Vann (Robyn) of Birmingham. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Angelyn Gaddy, Ric Smith, Rob Vann Jr., Robin Bagwell, James E. Vann, Jr., and Natalie Vann, and six great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Thomas E. Haney of Essex, Connecticut and Jimmie Ruth Haney of Lincoln. The family will greet guests at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville on December 29, 2008 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon, and the funeral service will immediately follow.
