Elizabeth Breedlove Hollingsworth went home to meet her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She went peacefully from her earthly home, surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth was born on June 9, 1940 in Chelsea, Alabama to O.C. and Oline Breedlove. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Dorothy Breedlove and Janice Vines. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 64 years, Jerry Allen Hollingsworth, their three children, Suzanne Williamson (John) of Grantsville, Utah, Allen Hollingsworth (Vickie) of Denver, Colorado, and Alyssa Tabor (Dave) of Blanchard, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sister, Evelyn Hoppes, and many close friends.
Mom led a very multifaceted life. She was born and raised in Alabama where she attended the University of Alabama. She worked in top secret rooms as a draftsman on military projects, where she met Dad. After starting her family, she owned and operated her own drapery business. She was a Bluebirds leader, a soccer coach, a PTA president, Sunday School teacher, church kitchen volunteer, seamstress for many and provided sewing lessons to many young girls.
Mom had a positive impact through her outreach while also being a loving wife and best friend to Dad, and a caring and devoted mother and Mimi. She provided a welcoming and comfortable home to her friends and neighbors, and will be deeply missed by all.
