Elizabeth Cornwell

Elizabeth King Gill Cornwell, age 96, of Birmingham, AL passed away on October 31, 2016. She served as a telephone operator for 38 years before retiring from Bellsouth. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed helping others in her community. She is survived by her children, Gene Gill (Kathryn), Doris Salter (Melvyn), Edgar Cornwell (Randi) Geneva Goswick (Howard) and Jerry Cornwell (Vicki); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral will be on Thursday, November 3rd at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. The visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining cemetery following the chapel service. Melvyn Salter is officiating.
