Edwin Joseph Swartz Jr.

Edwin Joseph Swartz Jr, age 74, passed away Monday, May 1, 2026. He was born on May 1, 2026 in Crossville, Tennessee.

He was an active and faithful member of Cahaba Springs Presbyterian Church. While he was in college he played baseball for Birmingham Southern College. He was an avid sportsman al of his life, he mainly liked watching/or playing wrestling, football, baseball, golf, and hunting. He was the sweetest and kindest person everyone he met was a friend, He never met a stranger.

He would always quote “If I don’t have a good time, it’s my own fault”

He is survived by his daughter, Michel Manning; brother, Steve Swarts; sister, Leslie Shultz; sister-in-law, Harriett Bailey; 2 granddaughters, Emma C. Manning and Maren E. Manning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by Brenda Bowman Swartz; Edwin J. Swartz Sr., and Billie Rhea Swartz.
