Edward Perry Williamson, 84, passed away peacefully in Trussville, Alabama on September 21, 2026.

Growing up in Chelsea, Alabama Ed was a dedicated student and hard worker who earned his engineering degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1975 and enjoyed a rewarding career with BellSouth. Following his retirement in 1991, he embraced new adventures by partnering with his son to open a successful Two Men and a Truck franchise in Mobile, Alabama.

Beyond his career, Ed was a man of many talents and deep passions. An avid carpenter, he loved spending his summers building decks for friends. He possessed a rich knowledge and appreciation for nature, able to name virtually any tree he saw on a walk. He also had a passion for cooking, always eager to experiment with new dishes and share his favorite recipes with those he loved.

Above all, Ed had a tender heart for animals, especially dogs. His faithful best dog friend, Bear was a constant companion who will miss him deeply.

Ed’s heart belonged first and foremost to his family. He shared over 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jean. Together, they built a beautiful legacy of love and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; his two children, Christopher Perry and Lauren Elizabeth (and her husband, David Lynam); his four brothers, Jim, Ron, Ullman and Mike; his grandchildren, Christopher, Valyn, Dylan, and Ryker and his great-grandchildren, Kayden, Aubrey, Dominic, Greyden, and Sylas.
