Edward Powell

Edward J Powell, Jr, passed away at 89 years old on May 21, 2017. He was born in Majestic, AL and lived in Birmingham, AL. He served as a Marine during the Korean War. He retired from Connors Steel and Security Engineers. He was a wonderful, loving husband and father. He is predeceased by his parents-Edward J Powell and Cordell Armstrong Powell, Woodrow Powell-brother, Sisters-Hattie Mae Powell & Lula Mae Powell Harrison. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dell Powell, his children: Eddie R Powell, Terry G Powell, Teresa Powell Roper, Ronnie G Powell(Patricia), Vicki Powell Self(Ben), Mark Powell; grandchildren: Candy Self Tidwell, Benjamin Michael Self, Brandon Hunt(Kayla), Ron Powell, Tori Roper Johnson(Haden), Johanna Powell; great-grandchildren: Ryan Tidwell, Rylie Self, Colin Hunt, Kenley Hunt. Visitation May 25, 2017, at 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, Trussville. Funeral on May 26, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, Trussville. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
