Douglas Mewbourne

Doug Mewbourne, age 60, passed away on March 3, 2014. Known to his co-workers as Boss Doug, he worked at SAIIA Construction for 25 years. Doug lived his life full-speed ahead and will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, H.M. Mewbourne, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Deborah, his son, Craig Mewbourne of Dallas, TX, his daughter, Jami (Jody) Potter of Pinson, AL, grandchildren, Faith, Joe, and Noelle Potter, mother, Rose Mewbourne, his sister, Phyllis (Joe) Tortorici of Shelby, AL, his brothers, Rodney (Phyllis) Mewbourne of Morris, AL, David (Debbie) Mewbourne of Tulsa, OK, Drew Mewbourne of Panama City, FL, and Morris (Nikki) Mewbourne of Trussville, AL. Visitation will be on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Bob Murray will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers, please do something nice for a stranger in the spirit and memory of Doug.
