Douglas Logan

Douglas Wayne Logan, 71, of Clay Alabama, went to be home with the Lord on August 7, 2025, after courageously fighting his illness for 16 years.

Born on August 28, 1953 Doug was the beloved son of the late Mary Glover Logan and Virgil Logan. He was proceeded in death by his parents, but leaves behind the legacy of love, faith, and family.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife at 37 years Susan Goad Logan, who was his steadfast partner. He has also survived by his brother, Mike Logan (Jerri ), and his in-laws, Mike Goad (Trish) and Linda Goad Reaves (J. D.). His children Daniel Logan (Jennifer), Jamie Kersh (Jamie), Stacy Kersh Vann (Blake), and Ashley Kersh Romano (Anthony)-will forever carry his love and example in their hearts.

Doug's pride and joy where his grandchildren: Lillian Logan; Jackson, Hudson, and Cason Kersh; Landon, Ashton, and Maddox Vann; Anthony, Luca, and August Romano; Landry and Kalin West. He also lives behind numerous nieces and nephews

A man of strong faith, Doug was a gentle and loving soul. He was a dedicated member of the Healing Place Church, Trussville. He loved cooking, especially grilling – earning the proud title of "grill master" among family and friends. Doug also enjoyed watching sports and was known for his warm singing voice, often lifting spirits with the song.

His strength, kindness, and unwavering love for family will be remembered and cherish always

A celebration of Doug's service will be held at the Healing Place Church on August 14, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10 for family. 10:30 to 12 visitation For friends with service beginning at 12 noon.

Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Trussville Alabama family only.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations we may do the Healing Place Church in Doug's memory
