Doris Ann
Richeson
Dec 14, 1932 — Jul 6, 2026
Mrs. Doris Bryant Richeson, 93, of Cropwell, Alabama, went to meet her precious Lord on July 6, 2026. Born on December 14, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama, Doris was the daughter of Naomi and Elijah Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Bryant of Bechtol, Texas; several other brothers and sisters; her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) L. Richeson, Sr.; her son, Robert "Bobby" L. Richeson, Jr.; and son in law, Bobby Rushen. She is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl R. Rushen; her cherished grandchildren, Erin Bentley (Brandon), Kristen Odom (Jonathan), and Zachary Rushen (Amanda); and her adored great-grandchildren, Thomas, Adley, Olivia, Henry, Taylor, and Lauren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, Doris's love was evident in all she did. She was a founding teacher at Parkway Christian Academy, where she faithfully taught kindergarten through fourth grade until retiring at the age of 80. Doris was a faithful member of Woodlawn Assembly of God, Huffman Assembly of God, and later Parkway Christian. She dearly loved her church family and formed many lifelong friendships. A lifelong Alabama fan, she especially enjoyed cheering on the Crimson Tide every football season. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Devotion Section, Monday July 13th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Boys & Girls Club of Pell City. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7–8
