Doris Haynes

March 30, 1928 — July 26, 2022

Doris Garrett Haynes went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 26, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 10:00 am. Pastor Johnny Kilgore will be officiating.

Doris was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1928. She married Clarence Bookter (C.B.) Haynes in 1946, and they were married for 76 years. Doris was a teller at SouthTrust Bank for many years and was well loved by her customers and coworkers. Doris was known for her caring and giving heart. She was always thinking of others and went out of her way to help anyone she could. Doris had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and have fun.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was formerly an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and is currently a member of First Baptist Church Trussville. Doris enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir, traveling, going on church trips, and playing Rook with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include: Her husband, C.B. Haynes; Children: Dennis Haynes, Rose Watkins, and Ronnie Haynes (Judy); Grandchildren: Brad Haynes, Brian Haynes (Amy), Chace Haynes, Grant Haynes (Jennifer), and Monica Hartman (Kyle); and eight great grandchildren.
