Diane Meeks, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026.
Diane was always encouraging and uplifting and deeply cared for others. She was sweet, friendly, and welcoming to everyone she met, always wearing a smile that made others feel instantly at ease.
A lifetime member of First Baptist Church Pinson, Diane’s faith was central to her life. She especially loved singing in the church choir and found great comfort and purpose in her church family. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family and dear friends, whom she loved deeply.
Before her retirement, Diane was employed by Pinson Pharmacy, First Baptist Church Pinson, UAB, and Harbert Realty. She also faithfully supported her husband’s plumbing business for many years.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John Meeks; her daughter, Karen Meeks; her father, Lawrence Bell; and her mother, Dorothy Bell.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son, David (Kim) Meeks; her daughter, Melissa (John) Walker; her four cherished granddaughters—Mackenzie Meeks, Grayson (Austin) Crocker, Maleah (Sam) Evans, and Lacey (Ethan) Womack; her sisters, Linda Bell Tucker (the late Kirby Tucker) and Melanie Bell Grucza (Dan) and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Pinson and the Alzheimer’s Of Central Alabama.
Arrangements are entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 12:00 p.m., with graveside services immediately thereafter. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed.
Diane’s love, faith, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
