Derrick Dywayne Walker

Derrick Dywayne Walker, age 53, born in Birmingham, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 in Trussville, AL.

A visitation for Derrick will take place on Friday, February 6th, 2026 at 9:00 AM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL, with funeral services to immediately follow at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Gerald F. Jones will officiate. Interment to take place afterwards at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Arrangements under the direction of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens. 

Derrick was a proud lifetime member of the USMC. 

He was the beloved husband of Wyntress Walker and father of Christopher Walker and Quinterius Murray. His parents were Charles Williams and Revil Walker. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his grandmother, Sallie Walker; and a host of many other family members and cherished friends. 

Derrick's close friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
