Dennis Vernon Poe

Dennis Vernon Poe, 69, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 12th, 2026. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Clearwater in 1982. Dennis worked in pharmaceutical production for 30 years before retiring early to care for his mother.

Dennis had a lifelong love of music and enjoyed singing at weddings, clubs and performing karaoke. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle whose outgoing personality, kindness, and quick wit brought laughter and joy to those around him.

He is survived by his sister, Sherri Voigts (Robert Voigts); half-brother, Thomas Poe; half-sister, Susie McGowen; niece, Erika Voigts; and nephew, Andrew Voigts.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Poe; his mother, Lettie Ann Poe; father, Vernon Poe; and his stepmother, Wanda Poe.

Viewing will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens 1591 Gadsden Hwy. Birmingham, AL 35235.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026 at 2:00PM with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Prior viewing starts at 1:00PM. Graveside burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Family and friends are invited to gather at a nearby restaurant immediately following the service.
