Clifford Marshall Smith

Funeral Services for Mr. Clifford Marshall Smith, age 81 of Trussville, will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Deacon Dan Long officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ruby Jo Smith and his brother Conrad Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years and the love of his life, Madge Foster Smith; Sister-Javell Phillips, Children- Lisa Herring, Martin Smith, Kelly Simon, Drew Smith, Christy Shumaker and Kimberly Smith. He had 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was a welder and worked at Stockham Valves and Fittings for over 30 years and eventually retired from Sterlite Corporation. He worked hard to provide for his family and loved each one of them dearly. He spent a great deal of time with his grandkids and was a great influence in their lives. He enjoyed collecting knives and guns. He was always up for good food and enjoyed traveling with his wife and family/friends. He was a man of few words but was heard loud and clear. He loved driving his truck and would never be found without a small black comb in his pocket and his pocketknife. He holds a special place in our heart, and he will be forever missed!

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
