Obituary

Charlotte Jane Malone GarrisonDecember 30, 1938 – June 30, 2026Charlotte Malone Garrison, 87, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2026, after a life beautifully lived. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and a family forever grateful for the love she shared so freely.Charlotte believed life’s greatest blessings were found in loving God, loving people, and creating a home where everyone felt they belonged. She lived those values every day.Gifted with remarkable intelligence and quiet wisdom, Charlotte had the opportunity to attend college but selflessly chose instead to help the love of her life, Robert “Lefty” Garrison, earn his college degree. That decision reflected the way she lived her life—placing others before herself with grace, humility, and unwavering love. But if you had asked Charlotte what she was most proud of, she would have simply smiled and looked around the room at the family she and Lefty had built. She never sought recognition for the life she created, only the joy of seeing the people she loved together.Sweethearts since they were fifteen years old, Charlotte and Lefty shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built far more than a home—they created a place where family and friends always felt they belonged. Birthdays, holidays, vacations, and countless gatherings became treasured traditions filled with laughter, love, and memories that will be cherished Although Charlotte worked as a full time business owner until age 82, her greatest joy was found gardening, preparing meals for those she loved, opening her home, and bringing people together. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. More than anything, she loved seeing family and friends gathered, creating memories together. People didn’t just visit Charlotte’s home—they felt at home there. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert “Lefty” Garrison; her son, David Garrison, and his wife, Andrea; her daughter, Christy Garrison Darden, and her husband, Gene; her grandchildren, Haley Garrison Butler and her husband, Kevin; Jody Garrison and his wife, Freda; Kelsey Garrison; Tyler Darden and his wife, Hailey; and Carli Darden; her great-grandchildren, Bryson Butler, Jaxon Butler, and Evelyn Garrison; her brother, Michael Malone, and his wife, Janice; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.Charlotte’s greatest legacy was not simply the family she and Lefty built, but the love, faith, kindness, and joy they passed on to every generation. She taught us that life’s richest blessings are found not in accomplishments or possessions, but in the people we love and the memories we share. While we will miss her deeply, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will continue to bring our family together for generations to come.A Celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service from 12:00 p.m. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
