Charles D. Roberts Jr.

Charles Dennis Roberts, 79, of Pinson, AL, earned his wings on December 19th, 2025.

He was born in Attalla, AL on September 24th, 1946 to Charles Dennis Roberts Sr. and Jessie Emily Roberts, one of five children. He attended Etowah High School before joining the Army and serving his country in Vietnam, a duty that would leave him with a lifelong love of helicopters. He was a kind husband, a dad who was always willing to offer a hug or a pep talk, and the sort of grandpa who lets you drive his truck around the yard.

Charles was preceded in death by his dear parents and eldest brother, Billy Paul Roberts. He is survived by the love of his life, Dollie Faye Roberts, his daughter, Christel Michelle Roberts and her husband Matthew Wayne Pope, his son, Charles Kevin Roberts and his wife Genia Nicole Roberts, as well as his granddaughter, Angel Nicole Roberts and his grandson, Charles Aaron Roberts.

A remembrance will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville at 2PM on Wednesday, December 31st, followed by a graveside service at Trussville Memorial Cemetery.
