Charles Bright

Charles Carroll Bright, age 84, of Blountsville, Alabama passed away on December 15, 2023.  He retired from General Portland Cement after 37 years as an electrical maintenance mechanic. Charles was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 11, 1939. He grew up in the Memphis area and in various places around the country as his father supported the war effort.  Charles eventually settled down in Miami, Florida where he met the love of his life Shirley.  They were married on August 30, 1957, and had almost 65 wonderful years.  

He is preceded in death by the love of his life Shirley T. Bright; parents, Sterling E. and Oakel F. Bright; sister, Frances P. Tarter and brother, John E. Bright.  Charles leaves behind his sons, Charles Stephen, John Charles Bright, and James Sterling. Grandchildren, Angela, Katie; great grandchildren, Paizlee, Leyla, Coltyn; nieces, Debbie Jester and daughter Shianne, Julie Randolph (Greg) and their son Jack.
