Charles Allen Martin

Private Graveside Services were held for Mr. Charles Allen Martin, age 86 of Birmingham, at Marvins Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Korie J. Anderson officiating.

Charles passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was an avid entrepreneur and determined young man earning him the nickname “Maverick” at a young age. Charles owned and managed thousands of apartments, and a large portfolio of rental houses throughout his life. He was constantly thinking of new business ventures, and his vast business pursuits are just too many to list. Charles often enjoyed playing racquetball with his business partner of over 40 years at the Levite Jewish Community Center. He was a very social person with many lifelong friends, and a proud member of the Cedar House "Liar's Club." He never met a stranger, was a loyal family man and devoted husband of 54 years. Charles came, he saw, he conquered. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wilhelmina Martin, his daughters, April Warren, Carla Aaron and Mary Martin, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his sister, Bo Peep Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clyde Martin and Willie Mae Hooten Martin, and his brother, Tommy Patrick Martin.
