Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor

Funeral Services for Mr. Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor, age 38 of Springville, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor was born on September 25, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama. He tragically died in a car accident on Thursday, May 21, 2026 while driving to work. Chance was a devoted husband, fantastic father, beloved son and brother.

Chance was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Belton Taylor, Jr. and his grandparents, Ed and Lawana Lawrence. He is survived by his wife, Chelsea Walrond Taylor, his sons, Jaxon Ray and Levi Oakley, his daughters, Lucy Sky and Winnie Rose, his parents, Sunny and Eric Love, his siblings, Ryan (Christy), Dalton (Taylor), Brayden and CoraBeth, his nephews, Hudson and Jude, his in-laws, Derek and Alexis Walrond, Corey and Paula Gunter, cousins, Laurel Gilchrist, Todd Armstrong, Alex McDonald, and Alyce Armstrong and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Taylor, Dalton Taylor, Brayden Love, Justin Hodgens, Sean Walrond, and Cade Gunter.

Chance was employed at The Off-Road Connection in Fultondale. He was a talented wood worker, musician and enjoyed tinkering with electronics. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and four children. Chance’s sweet and humorous personality was a gift to all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 11:30 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home
