C.E Taylor

C.E. "Gene" Taylor, age 86, of Leeds, AL passed away on June 10, 2009. He was a member of 1st Baptist of Leeds. Mr. Taylor was a Barber for 62 years, member of the Irondale City Council for 12 years, a WWII Veteran, member of the Kiwanis and held many various church positions. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ora Taylor; daughter, Carolyn Jean Taylor; grandson, Brant Peters. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Taylor; daughters, Margaret Peters (Wayne) and Jennifer McDonald; son, Tim Taylor (Gina); grandchildren, Dawn Dodson (Kent), Michael McDonald (Sherlene), Brad and April Taylor, Shay and Jeremy Folse; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Keeley Dodson, Tyler and Ryan McDonald, Shawn and Shanna Taylor; sisters, Louise Palmer and Doris Lindsey. Services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday June 13, 2009 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial.
