Catherine Searcy

Catherine Morris Searcy, 77, of Moody, AL, passed away on March 30, 2022. Cathy was born on May 9th, 1944, to Myrtle Lee Limbaugh Ingram and Luther Morris Ingram, in Birmingham, AL. She was one of five sisters and they are all very close. She loved her family deeply. Cathy also had a big love for Pugs and Boston Terriers. She loved all things purple. She enjoyed crafting and making all the kids clothes and hair bows. She enjoyed her 20 + years working at the Walmart bakery. She was a waitress with her sister (Bobby) for years before that. She was an active member of Landmark Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Searcy and sister, Barbara Smith. Cathy is survived by her daughters, Marsha Motes, Coral Bragan, Ashley Bragan; son, Bradford Bragan; son in-laws, Lee Motes, Colby Hand; grandchildren, Alison Chitty, Jordan Sauve; great grandson, Weston Hand; sisters Genelle Poe, Wanda Grounds, Brenda Herren; half-brother, Ronnie Townsend; brother in-laws, Kenneth Poe, Butch Herren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, cousins and the countless friends & lives Cathy has touched throughout her life. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville from 11:00 AM to 12 :00 PM with services to follow.
