Carol Ann Evans Anderson Stalnaker of Hayden, Alabama passed away on April 9, 2026, at her home with her family at her side. She was born on March 21, 1938, to Derwood Evans and Ima Lee Bridges Sebren in Mer Rouge, Louisiana.
Carol Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Bill Anderson and Pete Stalnaker, brothers Bobby Wayne Evans, Eddie Lee Evans, Herbert Hope Evans, Ernest Dean Sebren as well as her great-granddaughter Elisabeth Rayne Guerra. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Libby) Gaines and her husband Tim of Monroe, Louisiana. Rebecca (Becky) Everett and her husband Mike of Gore Springs, Mississippi. Stepson Ken Stalnaker and his wife Kay of Birmingham, Alabama, and stepdaughter Lynn Cleveland and her husband Robert of Trussville, Alabama, and sister Gail Booker and her husband Farrell of McKinney, Texas.
Grandchildren: Jeremy Everett, Jon and Kim Everett, Jessica and Tyler Hinton, Sarah and Alex Odom, Kathryn Stalnaker, Greg and Tiffany Cleveland, and Dana Cleveland.
Great grandchildren: Dr. Ashleigh Everett, Matthew and Calleigh Schiele Everett, Starla Jade Parker, and Skylar (Morgan) and Patrick Wiltsie. Mary Carlisle Odom, Elizabeth Odom, Sam Odom, Easton Cleveland, Lila Cleveland, Hattie Cleveland, and Griffin Cleveland.
Great great grandchildren Evangeline Rayne and Velma Elaine Jade Wiltsie. She is also leaving behind a host of nieces and nephews, neighbor and friend Byron (Moose) Hall and long-time friend Jimmy Burns.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Carol’s care team: Gentiva Hospice Care with nurse Lauren Sellers and aide Ariel Chastain, as well as her weekly stylist and beautician Caitlyn Mize.
A visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama on Thursday, April 16, at 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will be directly after the service in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Saint Judes Children’s Hospital
