Carey Francis Brewster, Sr.

Carey Francis Brewster, Sr., of Trussville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on January 17, 1938, Carey lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, faith, hard work, and a deep love for Alabama football - always ready with a hearty "Roll Tide!"

A talented and dedicated General Contractor, Carey built more than homes - he built a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and care that will stand for generations. When he wasn't working, you could find him tending to his beloved garden or packing for his next travel adventure with his wife and family.

Carey was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Benjamin Brewster and Margaret Elizabeth Calvin Brewster; his sister, Wanda Faye Brewster; brothers, Bobby Brewster and Solly Brewster; and his son, KK Brewster.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Judy Brewster; his daughter, Kellie Brewster; grandchildren, SarahAnne Brewster, Jackson Brewster, Wyatt Brewster, Megan Blanchard, and Madison Blanchard; and his goddaughter, Melanie Kandil. Carey's kindness, humor, and love will live on in their hearts forever.

A celebration of Carey's life will be held at Northpark Baptist Church on August 16th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Carey's memory by planting a tree - a living reminder of his love for the beauty of the world.
