Brett Chandler

Brett Duane Chandler, age 57 was welcomed home by Jesus on September 6, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1964, to Carlon M. and Pauline A. Chandler (both deceased). He graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, and received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He enjoyed Alabama football. He loved his work and was a dedicated employee serving as the Controller at Kassouf Healthcare Solutions, LLC at the time of his death. He served on the ministerial staff at LifeChurch Birmingham in Trussville, Alabama for 25 years, 20 of which as full-time ministerial staff where he also served as an Elder and Teacher. His love for others, his Church and his ministry enabled him to reach far beyond his ministerial position. He wanted everyone to find the true freedom that comes when you fully give your life to Jesus Christ. He was an example of the love of Jesus, and he touched many lives with his smile, kind words, and encouragement.  His love of God and family were the guiding strength in his life.  He loved his children and grandchildren more than words could express.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Laura Lynn Chandler, his children Anna Nicole (Chris) Lucky and Carlon Andrew Chandler, two grandchildren, Ella Grace and Asher Bane, his brother James Craig (Brenda) Chandler along with a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many friends who were like family to him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 18, 2021, at 2 pm at LifeChurch Birmingham, 5567 Chalkville Mtn Road, Birmingham, AL 35235.  Masks are required.  The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning. The church will be streaming this service online via their facebook page for those who are not able to attend. The Facebook page is LifeChurch Birmingham.
