Bret Charles Missildine

Bret Charles Missildine, son of William Earl and Francine Charles, died on Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was 62 years old.

Bret was born at Lee County Hospital in Opelika, AL, on December 3, 1960. He married Angelique Watson on June 16th, 1990, enjoying 33 years together. They have two daughters, Amanda Tatum (Mark), and Emily Jo Beasley (Heath), as well as four grandchildren, Eleanor Kaye Tatum, Mark Carlton Tatum III, Jacob Bret Tatum, and Jerry Bret Beasley. He is survived also by three siblings: Scott Missildine (Julie), Joyce Myrick, and Amy Muench (Carl), as well as 10 nieces and nephews.

Bret spent his life in service to his family and to his church, Covenant Presbyterian, and Evangel Presbyterian. He spent his professional career as an environmental scientist with both Weston Solutions and Alabama Power.

A service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11:00 am at Evangel Presbyterian Church in Alabaster, AL, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Bret can be honored with donations to Trinity Christian School (Opelika, AL) or The Owen Center (Auburn, AL).
