Billy Reeves

Billy Gene Reeves, age 86, of Trussville, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps. Following his military service, Mr. Reeves obtained his pilot's license, and began a love of flying that spanned over 50 years. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents, Nora Lee Hooten Reeves and Harper Clayton Reeves; a daughter, Christy Reeves Brady; and a brother, Ray Benefield. He is survived by his daughters, Jeanie Cornelison (Rick) and Diane Garnette; grandchildren, Steven Cornelison (Carrie), Greg Garnette, Michael Cornelison, Stacey Cornelison Phillips (Jeff), Stephanie Barnes Sullivan, and Shannon Barnes Cruz (Toby); great grandchildren, Logan Phillips, Carson Phillips, Cole Cruz, and Christian Sullivan; and sister, Verna Parker. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
