Billy Pickle

Mr. Billy Pickle, Sr., age 81 of Trussville passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Mr. Pickle graduated from Hewitt High School and received a business degree from Wheeler Business College. He served in the US Army during the mid 1940's where he was quarterback for the Army Exhibition team. He was a small business owner in Birmingham until he retired in 1996. He was a faithful church member and active board member of the Lighthouse Baptist Foundation. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Turner Pickle; their son, Billy Pickle, Jr (Teri); one brother, James Pickle (Peggy). Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 1:00 PM with Chapel Services beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rick Gillian officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
