Betty Sue and her husband, Garry, shared a life filled with love, laughter, and travel, bringing joy to others through their clowning ministry and performances during their retirement years.

She dedicated much of her professional life to helping others succeed through her work as a Job Placement Director for several colleges in the Birmingham area, retiring from Virginia College. She took great pride in guiding students toward meaningful careers and brighter futures.

Betty Sue was a member of Ruth Chapter No. 3, Order of the Eastern Star, in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as many other organizations throughout her life, where she formed lasting friendships and served her community with kindness and compassion

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Legacy Woods for the compassionate care and companionship they provided over the last two years. They are also incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at UAB St. Vincent’s for their exceptional kindness and support during her final days.

She will be remembered for her warm heart, impeccable fashion and style, joyful spirit, loving devotion to family, and the happiness she brought into the lives of so many. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
